Add an Ethernet interface to your MikroElektronika development board with
this SPI Ethernet add-on board. The board employs Microchip's ENC28J60, a
28-pin 10BASE-T stand-alone Ethernet Controller with on-chip MAC & PHY, 8KB of Buffer RAM and an SPI serial interface. With
its small footprint package size the ENC28J60 minimizes complexity, board space and
cost. Target applications include VoIP, industrial automation, building
automation, home control, security and instrumentation. The board is designed to plug onto MikroElektronika's PIC,
dsPIC, 8051 and AVR development
boards, although could also be interfaced to
your own circuits or
other development boards.
Supported by mikroBASIC, mikroC and mikroPascal
The Ethernet add-on board is supported by libraries supplied with MikroElektronika's mikroBASIC, mikroC and mikroPascal compilers. Example
programs are also included with the compilers that cover:
- Example of UDP response
- Reading UDP data and writing on LCD
- Setting up the IP and MAC addresses
- Initialising counter over UDP and displaying on 7-segment
display
- Initialising real-time clock over UDP
- Receiving UDP requests and sending to PC via RS-232
- Pinging IP addresses
- Starting HTTP server
- All-in-one ENC28J60 demonstration
